Quavo posted a touching tribute song Wednesday night to his nephew and bandmate Migos Tykov, who was shot and killed in Houston on Nov. 1.
The song, titled “Without You,” is an honest, heartbreaking remembrance that plays as Quavo sits up and smokes a blunt, looks down and sways gently in a chair.
Tears welling up in my eyes
I can’t tell you how many times I cried
The days are not the same without you
I don’t know if I’m the same without you
The song then gives various flashbacks to their years together, before moving into the chorus, which also concludes the song:
“I wish I had a time machine
Just so you can take a ride with me
I miss how you smile at me
Unc & Phew to infinity.”
But I know it doesn’t work that way
Emma see you again someday
The song fades out with Quavo singing “Taaaaake… I’m sorry”.
Christmas is not the same
It’s hard to see Mma Love without you
See you in heaven, Emma be with my dog
