My Hero Academia sees a surprisingly evil side-switch

My Hero Academia celebrates the new year by releasing the latest chapter of the manga a few days earlier than usual, as the Final Arc storyline sees heroes and villains still at each other’s throats. While the main battle may continue to focus on All For One’s avatar, Shigaraki, facing off against One For All’s player, Deku, the war is fought on many fronts and One Way has given readers the return of a major villain who is now working alongside the Angels.

Warning. If you haven’t read the last chapter yet My Hero Academia manga, chapter 377, you might want to stay out of it because we’re going to be leading into serious spoiler territory.

While the Final Arc’s fights mostly revolved around heroes and villains trading physical blows with each other, the antagonist known as the Skeptic went largely unchallenged. The villain, who was originally part of Re-Destro’s Meta Liberation Army, then entered the supervillain Liberation Army under Shigaraki’s command, is a hacker who spends most of this season trying to destroy UA Academy’s technology and defenses. With the school’s technology helping to prevent Shigaraki from reaching his full power, the Skeptic Hack is a key tool for All For One’s forces.

Before he could completely overtake the UA Academy command post, he encountered a familiar face on the digital scene as La Brava, the sidekick to Gentle Criminal who first appeared in Season 4 of the series. My Hero Academia The anime adaptation is back, and it seems to be working for the heroes to help her partner in crime. Revealing himself to Skeptic, the young hacker also reveals his motives:

“It took a while, but you finally showed yourself. Your chase wasn’t a walk in the park! But nuffin is too much for me, ’cause it’s all for Gentle!”

Gentle Criminal has not yet returned after his defeat at the hands of Deku, nor is it considered a threat in the same vein as Shigaraki or Overhaul, but it presents a unique challenge to the young heroes of Class 1-A.
