You may find yourself exploring new areas, and then come across a chest that is capable of sending you to a completely new location. Or maybe you go back to a previously visited place at night, only to be attacked by a new boss who wasn’t there before. Uncertainty about the game is one of the main reasons why it is fun to play, although fans sometimes face some problems.

While most players focus on defeating the toughest bosses and collecting the best loot, some might admire the stunning scenes of the Elden Ring’s fantasy landscapes. Although you may only rest in one of the various grace sites throughout your journey, the last thing you might expect is resting inside a coffin. However, it seems like you could do just that — but what exactly happens if you decide to rest in a coffin?

Many of you playing Elden Ring may have stumbled across a spooky looking coffin that gives you the option to rest in once you get close to it. This is something fans face with a dilemma, but thankfully resting in a coffin has no negative effects on your ride. Coffins are used to travel to various locations within the Elden Ring. To date, three such coffins have been discovered.

The first coffin

The Ark of Nokron, the Eternal City to the deepest roots of the Elden Ring

The first sarcophagus can be found in Nokron, the Eternal City, and it can be Reached after defeating Valiant Gargoyles. Once you take them down, you will find a coffin in base of the waterfall. Resting in this coffin, you will be taken to the Deeproot Depths, which also has one of the best farming locations in the game.

The second coffin

The second can be found at Deep rooted depthsEspecially near Nameless Grace location of the Eternal City in the Great Basin of the Waterfall After defeating two Gargoyles at the Siofra Aqueduct. This coffin will take you straight to the Ainsel River.

The third coffin

The third and final sarcophagus can be found at Root Lake. Just like the previous coffin, you will be taken to the Einsel River if you decide to rest in it.
