Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley tells everyone about the Rise of Skywalker script change | Movies | entertainment

The Star Wars sequel trilogy sparked a number of rumors and theories when Rey hit the big screen. Daisy Ridley’s character’s parents were a huge talking point after The Force Awakens was released, but when The Last Jedi hit theaters, it was revealed her parents were “nobody.” Ultimately, The Rise of Skywalker changed that, and Ridley has now spoken out what she thinks of the story.

It was eventually announced that Rey was the granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine, which made her offspring truly evil.

She recently said at the Sundance Film Festival: “Well, [The Force Awakens director] g [Abrams] It was she who was like, she’s nobody’s, so that wasn’t just the message that was in The Last Jedi.”

“What was interesting last time?” she continued. “To me, can you be a hero and come from nowhere or can you be a hero and come from the worst person in the universe. You’re not your parents, you’re not your grandparents, you’re not your bloodline and you’re not the generations before you. So, I was always like, sure. .”

However, when this major change to the Star Wars story occurred, she had to change her perspective on what she thought about the story.

However, there is hope. Ewan McGregor has just returned to the Disney Plus Obi-Wan Kenobi series, more than ten years after the success of his “last” Star Wars movie in cinemas. Similarly, Mark Hamill is still playing Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian series.

But, until Ridley officially signs up to bring Ray back to the big screen, she’s been supportive of her successors.

The next Star Wars TV show to hit the Disney-owned streaming service is The Acolyte – a sneak peek into the relationships of the Sith and their padawans.

The series is hosted by Amandla Stenberg, who is rumored to be playing a new Jedi or Sith character.

Ridley recently gave some advice to the young American star.

Ridley revealed, “Not just with Star Wars, but with everything, you try to be in the moment and enjoy the way it is because life moves fast. Amandla Stenberg can handle herself. She’s been in the business for a long time.”

The 30-year-old added, “Everyone knows how it works and how it could be. We all live in that, where people say more than they need to and comment more than they need to.”

She stressed that everyone should “find the good” in the series and “enjoy it”.

The Star Wars series is now available on Disney Plus.
