GoldenEye 007 comes to Nintendo Switch and Xbox Game Pass this Friday

The first-person shooter from 1997 will feature online multiplayer from January 27th.


Iconic shooter GoldenEye 007 has been given a January 27 release date as both announced today Nintendo and microsoft. Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pass subscribers and Xbox players who own a digital copy of Rare Replay He will be able to download and enjoy the game for free. Released on the Nintendo 64 in 1997, GoldenEye 007 took cues from FPS favorites of its day. Like Wolfenstein and Doom, you’ll only take on armies of bad guys with an arsenal of weapons at your disposal. With an objective-based stealth shooter, you can follow the story of GoldenEye as it was adapted for home game consoles. In addition to the single story mode, you can take on friends in local or online multiplayer encounters. Up to four players can play in one of the most anticipated N64 titles to be re-released to modern consoles to date. Xbox version updates will include alternate control options, unlockable achievements, and native 16:9 resolution up to 4K Ultra HD (when supported). There’s been no word yet on whether there will be any Nintendo rewards for playing.
