You’ve probably seen the Lian Li PC-O11 in one form or another. It seems at a time when almost every tech influencer was building a computer using the best PC case. This is for good reason, because this thing is incredibly cool and practical. Lian Li has created a unique platform where three 360mm radiators are available for cooling, allowing a powerful system to be installed without issue.

The PC-O11 Dynamic is our device of choice, and it’s available in white or black—either would look great on your desk. Up to six solid-state drives (SSDs) could be installed, as well as three hard disk drives (HDDs), which would allow for high-capacity storage deployments for media and games. Speaking of which, you’ll be able to cram the best graphics card inside the Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic, supporting GPUs up to 420mm in length.

Two 120mm fans are included, though you’ll want to move up to nine across three panels. We’ve built a few PCs using the PC-O11 platform and it’s exceptionally well suited for AIO liquid cooling. Whether you’re using the latest AMD or Intel processors, you’ll have no problem keeping them in the proper operating temperature range with this chassis.

Just by looking at the Lian Li PC-O11 Air, it’s clear that this case is focused on thermal performance. There are ventilation holes all around. However, it is not a small case, allowing one to install an E-ATX sized motherboard. There are eight expansion slots available for the cards as well. There is 155mm of clearance for the CPU cooler and 420mm for the length of the video card, allowing you to assemble a powerful gaming PC using this chassis.

Where things get great is with cooling. Up to twelve 120mm fans can be installed across four 360mm radiators. That’s one on the front, one on the side, one on top, and finally one on the bottom. If that wasn’t enough, Lian Li added two 80mm fan mounts in the back, though you probably won’t need them. That’s a lot of cooling and will work just fine with the latest chipsets from AMD or Intel.

Cable management is excellent, as it is a PC-O11 case after all, and special care has been taken in the design of just about every part of the chassis. If you want the sleekest, quietest, and best-performing Lian Li case, this is a good place to start.

Lian Li PC-O11 Air

The O11 Air PC case from Lian Li is a variation on the popular case with an emphasis on airflow. The company replaced the front glass panel with one with lots of holes to allow more air to be sucked through the body. If you plan to install powerful components for your computer, then this will be the best case for you.

The Lian Li A4H20 series of PC cases are great for building more compact systems. With only Mini-ITX motherboards supported, you’ll need to plan accordingly. Due to the internal volume of 11 liters, restrictions are placed on the number of fans that can be installed, as well as the dimensions of the CPU and GPU cooling. You will only be able to use a graphics card up to 322mm long. It’s not very restrictive, but worth keeping in mind if you want to use existing components.

Two 120mm fans can be mounted atop a 240mm radiator on the top panel, allowing you to create a powerful machine with minimal cooling. This should be enough even for an Intel Core i9 or AMD Ryzen 9 processor, just don’t go and overclock the chip because you’ll create a lot of heat on load. Not only will these two fans have to exhaust hot air to the CPU, but they’ll also have to handle case airflow, which makes it easier to raise internal system temperatures.

It’s an amazing little box, made of aluminum for the outside and SPCC steel for the internal structure. If you prefer something that doesn’t require much space on your desk, the Lian Li A4H20 would be a perfect place to start.

We now move on to the larger cases. The Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB is just what you need if you’re using powerful internal hardware and need plenty of room to handle all that heat generated. This Lian Li case is just as impressive to look at as it is to build a PC inside. Let’s start with the double-hinged glass side-panel windows to showcase all of your expensive computer components. Then there’s all the RGB lighting you could hope for and built-in controls on the front panel.

Motherboard support (as to be expected) is excellent, allowing you to install up to an E-ATX board for maximum connectivity and enthusiast-class performance. Then there’s plenty of room for all the remaining components, including countless mounting points for fans and heaters. Nine drive-mounting locations are available as well, just in case you somehow manage to run out of M.2 slots on your motherboard.

Lian Li includes three pre-installed 120mm ARGB fans and you can add more to complete the look and cooling solution. Put a 360mm radiator on the front panel with an AIO and you’ll be able to push the CPU hard with positive results. It’s a great case in all respects, as long as you have the space available to host the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB.

The Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB is huge. It is a full tower structure and one of the few manufactured by the company. If you have an ATX motherboard, a larger GPU, and a 360mm fluid AIO for your CPU, this case will be able to accommodate it all and some.

Well, the Lian Li DK-05F isn’t strictly a PC bag, but more of an all-in-one desk. Instead of using the chassis to hold all of your computer’s components and keep them secure, Lian Li decided to remove the separate case entirely and cram everything inside the desk itself. That’s what the Lian Li DK-05F delivers, the ability to completely eliminate extra hardware to keep everything simple, clean, and elegant. As long as you have the available capital to afford such luxury.

Once you start unboxing all the parts, you’ll see just how unique the Lian Li DK-05F is with its all-aluminum construction. It is actually available in two variants with the second one allowing the installation of not one, but two PC systems. We focus on the DK-05F which only allows one computer to be installed because not everyone uses video game streaming. No matter what you end up buying, both are fully adjustable with electric motors.

For the DK-05F, the 8mm tempered glass top panel can be switched from completely transparent to hazy at the click of a button. There are plenty of I/O ports, controls for various functions, support for open loops intended for water-cooling, as well as the largest PC hardware you can find. It really is an incredible piece of engineering.

You probably don’t need the Lian Li DK-05F, but it would be a great PC case. PC case, you say? IT may look like an office, but inside you will be able to install a full computer.

Choosing the Best Lian Li Case for PC

Choosing the best Lian Li PC case is a lot like choosing the best PC case from any vendor. It pretty much boils down to the budget available and the type of computer you want to build. If money is not an issue and you want the cleanest PC out there, we recommend the Lian Li DK-05F. These desks are very good, serving as a PC chassis for even custom open-loop water-cooling systems.

For something a little more down to earth, the Lian Li O11 Dynamic series remains our favorite of the boxes due to its sleek design, excellent cable management, and impressive thermal performance. If you want better airflow, look no further than the Lian Li PC-O11 Air. This thing is capable of holding up to four 360mm radiators, which is simply amazing.

In addition to choosing the best case, you will need to use the best processor you can afford to test your cooling heat capacity.
