Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A firefighter experiences a happy ending when he meets his biological mother for the first time in Chile.

He met his family for the first time this past weekend. A hug and reunion that was only a dream has become a reality after nearly four decades.
“To have me walk through that exit and have my family running and hugging me, a lot of emotions poured out in that moment,” Avary told ABC13.
Teresa del Carmen Campos is Avary’s biological mother who lives in Chile. She said that when she first saw him at the airport over the weekend, she ran and hugged him so tight she didn’t want to let go.
Moments before the reunion, she said her heart was beating fast and asked God to give her strength for the moment she had waited since her son was illegally kidnapped when he was only 10 months old.
