Deep blue sea It made some lesser feats by surviving LL Cool J’s Preacher, which is a snap to the trend of killing black characters in Horror. LL Cool J did his homework and appeared on the talk show/eating challenge, hot. During his interview, host Shawn Evans asked if the rumors were true that an animatronic shark that snagged the leg of LL Cool J who nearly drowned while filming a scene for deep blue sea:

A thousand percent true. facts. One hundred percent facts. I was on set, I was probably #479 on the call sheet, and you know, I was in the middle of shooting and [they called] ‘lunch!’ And the man carries a little [shark] Joystick goes: [imitates cartoonish running] “Pastroma!” And they bailed me out. And there I was, only [makes thrashing, dangling motion] – Like it was real! And they said “Oh!” And he gave me this little breathing apparatus, like something you blow in and then inhale; I explode, I breathe, all the water! Take it to another level. But I ended up struggling and walking out, and I climbed outside, and there was a guy sitting there with a cigarette, like [imitates raspy chuckle] “I saw what happened.” So it was cool.”

This certainly sounds nothing short of cool, and we also have quite a few questions about what became of the crew members who “bailed” on LL and left him nearly drowning. Still ironic the almost unkillable guy from horror movies actually dies as a result of a fake shark… something.
