MLB The Show and more leaving the game soon

A total of seven titles will leave Xbox Game Pass Subscription service within the next couple of weeks, with last year’s MLB The Show 22 being the most popular of the bunch.

The full list can be seen at Official Xbox siteAlso includes Double Dragon Neon, Clustertruck, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, and Kraken Academy!! and A Memoir Blue and the Chinatown Detective Agency. MLB The Show 22 is the only AAA game from this lineup, and it’s worth noting that it will be replaced on the first day of the Xbox Game Pass release of MLB The Show 23 on March 28th. While no date has been set, they will presumably be dropped from service by March 31st, though it could also be a little earlier on March 28th with the launch of the aforementioned MLB The Show 23.

This comes on the back of some other notable titles that were removed from Xbox Game Pass just two weeks ago, including blockbuster games like Undertale, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and Zero Escape: The Nonary Games. However, recent additions like the Guilty Gear Strive and Valheim have continued to boost the value of the subscription service in spite of this.

2012’s Double Dragon Neon comes from developer WayForward (Shantae, River City Girls) and was a reboot of the classic beat-em-up series, originally released through Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The fighting game Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid lets players battle characters from various iterations of the franchise, but was unfortunately met with mixed reviews when it was released in 2019.
