The Mushoku Tensei: Unemployed Reincarnation anime season 1 was divided into two cycles, with the first airing in January 2021 and the second in October of the same year. Crunchyroll and Hulu are now streaming the season for international audiences. Based on the Rifujin na Mogonote light novel series, the anime follows Rudeut Greyrat as he builds a new life without regrets. “Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He will make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!” Seven Seas Entertainment describes the story.

Fans were concerned that the second season of the anime would not air in the near future, despite the fact that the first trailer for the sequel was released in the summer of 2022. It was confirmed that the next season will adapt both the Magic School and Quagmire arcs.
