The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 leak shows an exciting new design

Samsung is making some of the best foldable phones out there right now with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. And it’s looking to continue the trend this year with the release of its successors, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. While we got our first look at the former device yesterday Today, we get newly leaked renderings of the Z Flip 5, and show off the newly redesigned cover display.

The offerings come from Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known by his Twitter persona on the Internet onlywork with the site media. As you can see from the renders, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is designed to look completely different from its predecessor, with a large cover display that has a unique design. The new cover screen will be slightly larger and will also have a new look, with a small tab protruding from the top.

According to the source, the size of the external screen will be 3.4 inches, while the internal screen will measure 6.7 inches. Regarding the size of the phone, the news agency shares that it will come approximately at 165mm x 71.8mm x 6.7mm. Now, while having a bigger screen is always nice, it’s going to be really interesting to see how well Samsung makes use of this new screen.

Earlier this year, Oppo released the Find N2 Flip with a large display, but the software didn’t use it much. Of course, the software can always be changed, but hopefully Samsung will be ready to provide its users with more functionality out of the gate with its next release.

Perhaps another highly anticipated part of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the hinge. While previous models were fine, they didn’t allow the phone to close flat. Many brands in Asia use a “waterdrop” hinge, which allows foldable phones to close completely, while creating a less noticeable crease in the foldable screen. If this appears with the Galaxy Z Flip 5, it could make a huge difference to Samsung’s version.

While Samsung will undoubtedly use some of the best parts available for its next foldable smartphone, there is still the matter of its camera sensors. The previous model had a dual 12MP which was fine, but hopefully this area will also get an improvement. Right now, there aren’t a lot of other details about the phone, but you can probably guess that Samsung will be making use of some of the best parts available right now, and hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out every detail.
