James Bond star breaks silence about ‘contemplating’ return to 007 | series Movies | entertainment

Over the past two years, the drama surrounding the next James Bond movie has continued to heat up.

With Daniel Craig stepping down as 007 after No Time To Die, the future of the series has been left up in the air.

Bond leaders Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson have been staying relatively quiet about what happens in the next movie, so fans have been kept in the dark.

However, one of the main James Bond stars from the past five films, Jeffrey Wright, has just opened up about his future in the series.

talk with Delivery timeWright was asked about returning as his character Felix Leiter: “If there was a ‘ghost Felix Leiter’ moment, I would definitely consider doing it.”

James Bond fans will no doubt remember Leiter’s tragic death during the events of No Time to Die.

Logan Ash has been working as a double agent for Safin and eventually gets to land Leiter and Bond in a small boat. A CIA agent is shot by Ash, and Bond is forced to watch his friend die.

But, Wright went on to say that he would be just as content not to be joining the franchise, as he felt he had done some great work.

“At the same time, I was in those movies with Daniel,” Wright said [Craig]And [producers] Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson and I’m so happy to let that happen.”

On joining the series in the first place, he added, “I never expected to be a part of this franchise. I was a really weird fan of Bond movies as a kid, like a lot of us.”

“I’m very satisfied with what we did there. I’m happy to move on and let someone else be a part of it.”

At the time of writing, the next James Bond star is still completely unknown. But there are some promising possibilities that she could be a huge British icon.

Coral just smashed Idris Elba’s odds of becoming James Bond after releasing the trailer for his new thriller series Hijack.

The bookmaker halved his odds from 14/1 to 7/1 putting him in the top ranks of Bond odds alongside favourite, Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
