Nothing Phone 2 launched on July 11th

There was no irony about the launch of its next smartphone, the Phone 2, since the beginning of the year. CEO Carl Pei has been sprinkling a little morsel during interviews since January, and now, we finally have a date and a new teaser trailer for the phone, which is set to arrive July 11th.

The news was shared through None official Twitter account Accompanied by a new teaser trailer, giving us our first look at the upcoming phone. Of course, nothing has shown us everything, as the phone’s design was shrouded in darkness, revealing only the lighting of the new Glyph. In addition to the phone teasing, the trailer also shows Nothing continues its use of organic life in its promotional materials to represent its products, this time with an octopus.

Although details are scarce, we do have an idea of what to expect with the Phone 2 thanks to Pei confirming some of its specs. He confirmed that the upcoming phone will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and will also have a slightly larger battery than its predecessor, at 4,700mAh. Moreover, the device will run on Nothing OS 2.0, which will be an overhaul compared to Nothing OS 1 on Phone 1.

If all that wasn’t enough, we’ve also seen some leaked renders of the phone, which show a smartphone that looks almost identical to the previous model. Of course, what is important in this release is that the device will officially arrive on the shores of the United States. While the previous model retailed for £399, it’s unclear if the Phone 2 will be priced at the same power, considering the more powerful SoC. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to find out, as there’s only a month left before the Phone 2 makes its official debut.
