Our favorite Asus ROG Ally accessories so far
The Asus ROG Ally is shaping up to be a viable Steam Deck alternative, with a great screen and powerful processor. The handheld console was released on June 13th, and we’re in the middle of testing our review unit, so watch out. If you’re thinking about picking one up, I recommend adding a few accessories, like a screen protector like the one from dbrand and a carrying case like the official ROG Ally Travel Case or the premium Waterfield Cityslicker, which use leather, ballistic nylon, or tarpaulin to keep your console protected.
I also think the ROG XG Mobile dock is worth picking up if you want to use the ROG Ally as your primary gaming rig. It may be expensive, but it adds extra graphical prowess and more ports. For a cheaper docking solution, the JSAUX dock, which was originally built for the competing Steam Deck platform, should work perfectly with Ally. Since the portable console is running Windows 11, you can also use any of the peripherals you may already have.
