The Artifact mods this season focus on Elemental Orbs for Void, Solar, and Arc — and generating Tangles. These mods have great potential in build crafting and have greatly improved the already dominant Warlock Builds.

Best Artifact Mods For Warlock

Destiny 2, Season of the Witch, Warlock Build, Artifact Mods

The most important Artifact mods for Warlock are the Elemental Orbs Arc, Solar, and Void, as well as Tathonic Tangles, as these mods will help in generating Elemental Orbs and Tangles, which are crucial to the builds. Artifact mods of this season, however, do not support the Stasis subclasses.

Best Seasonal Artifact Mod

  1. Refreshing Pickup is also essential as it provides us with free ability energy.
  2. Elemental Embrace as it provides an insane 50 percent damage resistance.
  3. Monochromatic Maestro as it provides a 10 percent stacking damage boost just for being in battle.

If you are doing content that involves Champions, you can also include Elemental Fury for dealing extra damage against these champions.

Best Dawnblade Build

Destiny 2, Season of the Witch, Warlock Build, Dawnblade Build

Artifact Mods least affect the Dawnblade subclass. The most popular and potent Dawnblade build is the Sunbracers build, which is entirely dependent on the exotic itself and some Aspects and Fragments.

The best grenade for this build is the Solar Grenade, and the Phoenix Dive Class Ability will synergize quite well with the rest of the build as well.

Elemental Embrace

Monochromatic Maestro

The Build in Action

The build works by first activating Heat Rises and then using your Melee ability to get a kill. This will activate Sunbracers, and you will be allowed to throw as much Solar grenade as you can for about 4 seconds. Using your class ability while Heat Rises is active will also grant you Restoration.

This build works on its own and does not need any Artifact Mods, but it can be improved if you are using a Solar weapon by using Elemental Orbs: Solar. Elemental Embrace and Monochromatic Maestro are just free Damage Resistance and Damage on top.

Best Broodweaver Build

Destiny 2, Season of the Witch, Warlock Build, Broodweaver Build

The strand subclass of a Warlock has a brand-new aspect, and this build revolves around using its potential to the maximum. Since the point of this build is to generate as many Threadlings as you can, you should use The Swarmers exotic, and Threadling Grenade will be used as the grenade of choice.

Aspects

Weaver’s Call

Cast your rift to generate three Threadlings and deploy any perched Threadlings

Weavewalk

Dodge while airborne to enter the Weave, gaining damage resistance from combatants and players

Artifact Mods

Thanatonic Tangles

Strand weapons’ final blows have a chance to create a Tangle

Monochromatic Maestro

Deal 10 percent extra damage with abilities and weapons

The Build in Action

This build aims to generate as many Threadlings as possible. The Swarmers will generate Threadlings from Tangles, so the Artifact Mod Thanatonic Tangles will work amazingly in this build. You will also be generating Threadlings from your two Aspects and Fragments. So all you have to do for the build to work is to chain abilities and kill combatants with a Strand weapon.

For this build to work, having a Strand weapon is necessary, as it is the only way Thanatonic Tangles will work. If you have a Strand weapon with the perk Hatchling, then it will be even better for the entire build.

Best Voidwalker Build

Destiny 2, Season of the Witch, Warlock Build, Voidwalker Build

The Void subclass of Warlock, Voidwalker, has a lot of exotic armor support and has great ad-clear and damage potential along with excellent survivability. Voidwalker has a lot of great exotics to support it, like Nezarec’s Sin, Nothing Manacles, and Briarbinds but no exotic comes close to the best Voidwalker exotic Contraverse Hold. Contraverse Hold works by overcharging Void grenades, making them more effective and providing grenade energy on hits. Contraverse Hold is the heart of this build. For this build, you should use Vortex Grenade as your Grenade choice.

Aspects

Aspect

Chaos Accelerant

Overcharge your Grenade making it deadlier and more effective

Gain damage resistance against Solar attacks whenever you are radiant

Monochromatic Maestro

Deal 10 percent extra damage with abilities and weapons

The Build In Action

This build is all about Void grenades and overcharging them. Overcharge your grenades and throw them in a group of enemies. Thanks to Contraverse Hold and all the Aspects, Fragments, and mods, you will instantly have your grenade back, and this loop will continue as long as there are enemies.

For this build to work even better, you must equip a Void weapon. This Void weapon will create Elemental Orbs that you can use to gain extra ability energy as well as spread Volatile to even more targets.

Best Stormcaller Build

Destiny 2, Season of the Witch, Warlock Build, Stormcaller Build

Stormcaller was extremely popular last season thanks to all the Artifact mods in Season of the Deep. This season, it has fallen in popularity, but with the help of Elemental Orbs: Arc and Elemental Embrace, it is still quite potent. For this build, you can use either Fallen Sunstar or Vesper of Radius as the exotic armor choice. However, Fallen Sunstar works better with the Artifact Mods this season.

Elemental Embrace

Monochromatic Maestro

The Build In Action

This Build works on the generation of Ionic Traces, and thanks to the Fragments and Aspects chosen, you can generate Ionic Traces by defeating targets with any Arc ability. So, having an Arc weapon with the perk Voltshot will greatly help this build.

Using an Arc weapon will also generate Elemental Orbs, which will further Jolt enemies, creating more Ionic Traces, all the while Refreshing Pickup will provide extra ability energy. So, spam your abilities and spread as much Jolt as you can, and the Ionic Traces generated as a result will give back your abilities, and the loop will continue.
