Assassin’s Creed Mirage has finally been released, and with it comes a deep dive into the roots of the franchise. You can finally return to stealth gameplay and play as a true assassin.
Thankfully, one thing that has stuck with the game is the ability to use mounts. Mounts allow you to get around much faster. Here’s a guide to help you use your mounts.
How To Unlock Mounts
If you are wanting to ride around Baghdad on a mount, you will need to unlock them first. Thankfully, unlocking mounts comes pretty early in the game. Considering Baghdad is a massive map, you’ll probably wish you had a mount while you are walking around trying to get from place to place. All you need to do to unlock mounts is return to Baghdad after your training with the Hidden Ones. Once you return to Baghdad, you will need to travel there on a mount, unlocking them for the rest of the game. Once you have your first mount, you will be good to go for the rest of the game. While some mounts may look cooler than others, they aren’t any better. All the mounts in the game are the same, their appearance is the only part that is different.
How To Use Your Mount
Now that you have a mount, you need to know how to use it properly. You’re able to call your mount, have it follow a road, have it follow your objective, gallop, and dismount from it. While all of these commands are useful, the ones that have your mount follow a road or an object are such amazing commands. They will allow you to have your mount automatically travel there while you do something else. However, you will need to be care. The mounts may sometimes travel into hostile territory, causing issues with other characters in the game. Each of the mount commands requires a different button to be pressed. Here are those commands for the PlayStation and Xbox.

How To Change Your Mount
If you want to change you mount, you are able to at any stable around the game. These stables are marked by a small horse’s head icon on your map. Once you speak to these stable masters, they will ask if you want to change the appearance of your mount or your eagle. You can then select whatever skin you want for your mount. You can also purchase new ones here.
