Lies Of P: Best Technique Weapons, Ranked

There are many weapons to choose from in Lies of P, with each having different stats that favor either Technique, Motivity, or Advance. While Motivity and Advance builds are favored among players who like to deal immense damage to foes, Technique weapons are a special class that prioritize speed and mobility. This makes them great for lightweight builds, and also perfect for players who like to stay on the move during battle.

Of all the weapons in Lies Of P, those that scale higher in Technique are among the most beginner-friendly, as they easily allow the player to move and dodge enemy attacks, while slowly chipping away at their health. Though they do not dish out an astronomical amount of damage to enemies with a single hit, Technique weapons more than make up for their low Physical ATK with the speed and a low amount of Weight they possess. Looking for the best Technique weapons in Lies Of P? Here is a list of the top 10 best, all ranked accordingly.

  • Technique: B
  • Advance:
  • Blade: Storm Stab

6.3

98+108

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 37.32

The Wintry Rapier is the first weapon on this list, and is one of the earliest weapons you can obtain in the game. This Sword sports a Physical ATK of 98+108, which is remarkably low when compared to other Technique scaling weapons. This weapon also sports one of the lowest Damage Reduction Rates while Guarding. Both of these attributes make the Wintery Rapier not entirely effective against bosses, but it can still be a decent choice against regular enemies.

Despite the glaring flaws of the Wintery Rapier, this weapon does provide a fast attack speed and a high amount of mobility, making it perfect for dodging and dishing out frequent attacks on enemies. This Sword also has two useful Fable Arts that you can employ during battle. Storm Stab is the first, which dishes out multiple stabbing attacks. Guard Parry is the second, which proves to be a great counter to attacks.

5.9

93+102

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 36.60

The Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger is quite comparable to the Wintry Rapier, as its stats are remarkably similar across the board. With that being said, this nifty dagger sports the same benefits as the previous weapon. It is lightweight, providing excellent mobility and fast stabbing attack speeds. While the Wintry Rapier does sport a slightly better level of Physical ATK, along with a better Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding, the Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger has one notable benefit that makes it a lot better. This benefit is the dagger’s Critical Rate of 30.00, meaning that each attack has a 30% chance of dishing out Critical Damage – a benefit few weapons possess.

There are also a few other benefits this weapon provides, such as the Grind Fable Art, which boosts the Critical Hit Chance rate temporarily. However, much like the Wintry Rapier, the Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger proves more effective against base-level enemies, and fails to dish out high damage to some of the larger and tougher bosses in the game. This is largely down to the weapon’s Physical ATK, which is on the lower end of most Technique weapons at just 93+102.

  • Technique: A

  • Blade: Single Stab
  • Handle: Absolute Counterattack

7.9

104+132

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 40.59

Etiquette is the second and final Dagger we included on this list, and it ranks higher than the previous two weapons for a few obvious reasons. For starters, the Physical ATK of this Special Weapon is 104+132, and though it is still on the lower end of some other weapons on this list, it is comparably higher than both the Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger and the Wintry Rapier. Etiquette is slightly heavier than the previous options, but it still retains the high mobility and fast attack speeds of any other Dagger. The biggest benefit of Etiquette, however, is its slightly better Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding.

Etiquette also has a notable gimmick that can be used rather strategically in combat, most notably its ability to perfect block attacks through a perfectly timed Heavy Attack (or through the use of the Absolute Counterattack Fable Art). This makes this unusual Dagger one of the few weapons capable of nullifying incoming damage, and building up the Stagger Status Effect, without the use of a Perfect Guard. Putting these benefits aside, however, Etiquette still fails to compete against some of the other options on this list when it comes to raw damage against bosses.

  • Technique: B

16.4

122+159

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 55.89

The Trident Of The Covenant is the only Blunt weapon to be featured on this list, and is a Special Weapon that deals a fairly high amount of Physical ATK. Though it is one of the heavier weapons for a Technique build, the attack speed is surprisingly fast considering the overall Weight. The Trident Of The Covenant also boasts a fairly high Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding, making it a decent option to consider when coming across enemies that require a fair amount of Guarding to counter.

The biggest benefit of Trident Of The Covenant is its Critical Rate of 30.00, which works wonders when paired with its already high Physical ATK. This makes the Trident Of The Covenant one of the few Technique weapons to dish out high damage, along with quickly racking up the Stagger Status Effect. There are also two Fable Arts this weapon has that are pretty useful in battle. The first is the Link Rush Stab, which performs two devastating attacks when three Fable Slots are consumed. The second is Guard Parry, which again is great for interrupting enemy attacks.

16.2

131+144

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 61.71

The Booster Glaive is an interesting weapon, and is one of the two available Greatswords that scales higher in Technique than Motivity. This gimmicky sword has a Physical ATK level of 131+144, which is the second highest of all the weapons on this list. The Booster Glaive also has the unique ability to propel the player forward in both its Fable Art Attacks, along with its Charged Heavy Attack, granting players a decent amount of range. This is great for closing the distance between yourself and enemies, and then dishing out immense damage afterward.

The Booster Glaive also sports one of the higher levels of Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding, which sits at 61.71. The immense damage output is also something you should greatly consider when coming up against some of the tougher bosses in the game. With these benefits aside, however, the attack speed of this particular weapon is on the slower side – an attribute that is not generally favored for Technique builds.

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 55.10

The Dancer’s Curved Sword is the second Greatsword on this list, and is an all-round great weapon to get your hands on and use for many of the enemies you encounter in the game. Though the Booster Glaive sports better Physical ATK, and a slightly higher Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding, the Dancer’s Curved Sword has less Weight and still retains a decent Physical ATK level. The Dancer’s Curved Sword also has a decent amount of reach with its attacks, especially with the Heavy and Charged Heavy Attacks – which lunges the player forward.

While the attack speed of the Dancer’s Curved Sword is on the slower side, the speed is slightly better than the Booster Glaive. This Greatsword also offers a mixture of defensive and offensive Fable Arts, whilst the latter option features primarily offensive attacks. Link Retreating Slash is great for dealing quick damage and then retreating to avoid incoming damage, while Guard Parry has the obvious benefit of disrupting enemy attacks.

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 52.91

Uroboro’s Eye is another rather gimmicky weapon on this list, sporting a fairly high base level of Physical ATK. This Special Weapon also has a considerably high level of Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding, when compared to other Technique weapons. Uroboro’s Eye sits somewhere in the middle when it comes to Weight, but still provides a decent level of mobility if you are running a fairly light build. It is also one of the few weapons that offers a ranged attack – through the use of the Wandering Moon Fable Art – that does not propel the player toward the enemy.

One of the biggest benefits of Uroboro’s Eye is its Fable Art Storm Notice, which boosts both the damage and the hit number of each attack for a short duration. Using this Fable Art is a surefire way of wracking up some serious damage over time. The biggest drawback of Uroboro’s Eye, however, is the downtime after each attack, which prevents players from dodging for a short duration.

3 Puppet Ripper

16.4

138+180

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 51.77

The Puppet Ripper is one of our top picks for the best Technique weapon in the game, and this is down to a variety of factors. The Puppet Ripper is a Special Weapon sporting the highest base level of Physical ATK, along with an admiral level of Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding. The real benefit of this scythe-like weapon, however, is the range of certain attacks. The Light Attacks of the Puppet Ripper already possess a decent level of range. However, both the Heavy and Charged Heavy Attacks extend this range even further, providing a large area of effect and making this weapon ideal for attacking multiple opponents at once.

The two Fable Arts for the Puppet Ripper are also some of the best in the game due to the immense damage they dish out. Though each uses a considerable number of Fable Charges, they make short work of even the toughest of Elite Enemies, so make sure to save them for when they are really needed.

2 Proof Of Humanity

  • Blade: Link Smash
  • Handle: Grind

20.5

110+163

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 64.15

The Proof Of Humanity is the second-best Technique weapon for a variety of reasons. Firstly, while the Physical ATK of this weapon is quite low when compared to other weapons on this list, the 30% Critical Rate of this weapon boosts the potential damage it can dish out. Pair this with the Grind Fable Art, and you have a fast attacking weapon that can perform consecutive Critical Hits consistently. This two-bladed weapon also boasts a Damage Reduction Rate of 64.15 while Guarding, which is the highest out of all the weapons on this list.

Another obvious benefit of the Proof Of Humanity is that each Fable Art only costs one Fable Charge, meaning you can either perform consecutive attacks with the Link Smash, or consistently dish out Critical Damage with the Grind Fable Art – all without using too much of your Fable Charges. The only real downsides of this Special Weapon are its high amount of Weight, along with the fact that you can only really obtain it after beating the Nameless Puppet – which is quite literally the final boss in the game.

12.9

107+78

Damage Reduction Rate while Guarding: 47.16

The Two Dragons Sword is without a doubt the best Technique weapon in the game. This nifty sword is a Hwando, and sports one of the highest Technique scailing of all the weapons in the game. The Two Dragons Sword has a low amount of Weight, making it perfect for light builds, but also provides players with a lot of maneuverability even whilst attacking. When performing Light Attacks with the Two Dragons Sword, players can move left and right to perform a spinning attack motion – allowing you to strafe and attack simultaneously to avoid taking damage.

The biggest benefit of the Two Dragons Sword, however, is its Heavy Attack. When timed correctly with an enemy’s incoming attack, the Two Dragons Sword’s Heavy Attack will perform a Parry, thus interrupting your enemy’s attack and following up with your own. This works wonders against most enemies in the game, and is the exact strategy we used to defeat the Nameless Puppet with ease. The Fable Arts of the Two Dragons Sword are also quite useful, with the best of the two being Link Emergency Doge – which can be used both defensively and offensively.
