Starfield: Where To Find Voss

Starfield’s planets can range greatly from being barren moons with nothing interesting to see to massively populated cities like New Atlantis. While not every planet will have the same level of depth as New Atlantis, there is still a lot to be seen throughout the galaxy.

While you’re casually exploring the hundred-plus solar systems in Starfield, don’t forget to visit these ones; they’re the best systems in the game.

Another planet that is worth traveling to is the planet Voss. This moon is also named after a real-life NASA astronaut who traveled to space five times during his career, adding just another easter egg to Starfield. Due to its location, this moon is also hidden in plain sight, with many players flying right past it on a daily basis.

Where To Find Voss

The Moon Voss On The Galaxy & System Map

The moon Voss is found in the Alpha Centauri system, the major system towards the left side of the galaxy with New Atlantis. While many players will jump straight to Jemison, Voss is a moon of the planet Olivas, the fourth planet from the sun. The recommended level for this planet, along with the whole system, is level 1, and it is owned by the United Colonies, who have a major presence in this system.

What Is On Voss

The Planet Voss Being Scanned & Starstation RE-939

Despite not having any Flora, Fauna, or traits to scan, Voss has a surprising eight materials to be found and mined: Water, Nickel, Uranium, Vanadium, Tungsten, Cobalt, Dysprosium, and Lead. The atmosphere is not safe to breathe, and there are a few environmental hazards to worry about, but this is a very worthwhile location to mine resources.

In orbit over Voss is also Starstation RE-939. This space station was a research station for the United Colonies and is currently overrun with House Va’ruun Zealots. This encounter will have enemies higher than the recommended level of 1 but it can be a worthwhile station to fight through early into the game to obtain stronger weapons and be introduced to one of Startfield’s more mysterious factions.
