Colin Rooney’s ‘Wagatha Christie’ Doc Premiere on Disney+

The much-anticipated “Wagatha Christie” documentary with Coleen Rooney is set to air on Disney+ that has been confirmed today.

Unveiling its slate of scripts at the Edinburgh Television Festival, Disney+ has also announced a slate of high-quality, unscripted original titles. In addition to “Wagatha Christie” (working title), the platform is set to display the first documents from Keanu Reeves about Formula 1 (which diverse First revealed in July), Asif Kapadia for London’s alternative capital Camden Town, Bear Grylls for missing brother Spencer Matthews, and Condé Nast with an inside look at Vogue featuring Anna Wintour and Edward Enninful.

Sean Doyle, Director of Unregistered Content EMEA, has commissioned Disney+ to implement the five projects, which will premiere on Disney+ in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific and Star+ in Latin America.

“Our goal was to find great, once-in-a-lifetime stories that showcase a wide range of topics; these latest projects really deliver on that promise,” Doyle said. “We work with a selection of our creative partners on this list, reflecting the UK’s standing as an unrecorded powerhouse. We are establishing Disney+ as a destination for unregistered titles.”

This documentary from Vogue Studios and Raw will give viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world’s most prominent fashion book. With access to Vogue editor Anna Wintour, British Vogue editor Edward Enninful and other key players at Condé Nast, the series will explore how the ’90s were a historical era for fashion, music and film. Other cultural figures such as designers, models and musicians will also appear.

“The ’90s was an exciting and important decade for fashion,” Wintour said. “It was the period when fashion came into the mainstream – when it became inescapable, culturally relevant and full of shattering, expression and difference. The characters were larger than life too. This series is going to capture it all and I’m glad it came to Disney+.”

Lizel Evans will produce and Sam Anthony as CEO of Raw, while Sarah Amos, Mark Guiducci and exec Helen Estabrook will produce for Condé Nast Entertainment.

Academy Award winner Asif Kapadia and North London explore Camden Town, London’s alternative capital, in this four-part documentary from Lightbox that will document the region’s musical and artistic heritage.

This series celebrates an ever-evolving music scene in a unique setting that has always been at the forefront of counterculture. He has a musical legacy that fits anywhere in the world.
