Bowen Yang, Olivia Rodrigo, Honored in the 2022 A100 Golden House List

Mindy Kaling, Simo Liu, HoYeon Jung, Blackpink, Olivia Rodrigo and others are among those honored in the Gold House’s 2022 Most Influential Asians list.

The A100 list honors the pioneers at the fore in what the organization calls the “new golden age.” Honorees are chosen across industry categories, and for the first time ever, Gold House will celebrate these honorees in person and announce several new initiatives at the inaugural Gold Gala on May 21 in downtown Los Angeles.

Teresa Kang Loi, Executive Producer and Founder/CEO of Blue Marble Pictures and Blue Marble Management, shared a statement with diverse In response to a label. “It is a great honor to see our names on this list along with the many visionaries of the Asian community and AAPI, each working collectively to transform culture in general forward through their exceptional work. The vision of our community is more important than ever before. It’s also unusual to see Hollywood begin to realize what we already knew: that there is a real hunger among audiences both in the US and globally for more Asian stories, and more Asian talent. It was such a gift to see our show “Pachinko”, an epic A multilingual, decades-long focus squarely on the AAPI immigrant experience, it is embraced by critics and audiences around the world; and I look forward to continuing to highlight these types of narratives for many years to come.”

“Year after year, I am amazed at the collective accomplishments of APIs in different industries,” said Bowen Yang of Saturday Night Live. “It is a great honor for Golden House to recognize me as such a small part of that.”

The list also honors the careers of three legends – Dwayne Johnson, Mindy Kaling and Michelle Yeoh – who have been supervisors and acting champions across the vast diaspora at API.
