At the company’s launch event for the OnePlus 10T, OnePlus also announced that OxygenOS 13 is coming to its Android phone portfolio soon, and will also come with Android 13. OxygenOS 13 will be launched first on the OnePlus 10 Pro with an Open Beta version available for download soon. Then it will also arrive on the OnePlus 10T later this year. As for the changes, well, there are quite a few of them, and the company promises new features and a better user experience.
First and foremost, OnePlus promises an all-new design that it says is inspired by water, dubbed “Aquamorphic Design.” The user interface features smooth, rounded edges for a more pleasant viewing experience, while allowing both form and function to coexist. On top of these layout changes, you’ll also notice that things like system colors get darker as the day goes on.
Additionally, there are many other improvements across the system. Starting with the always-on screen, you’ll be able to integrate both Spotify and Bitmoji into it. It makes information more accessible, while still keeping the minimal look and feel an always-on display should offer.
Improvements have also been made to the launcher so that apps inside folders can be launched without opening the folder first, along with making it easier to add widgets to the home screen.
Next is the Sidebar Toolbox, which you may recognize from ColorOS. It works exactly the same way that you can add apps or actions to it, and start it right away by swiping out from the side where the bar appears.
Other features include spatial audio input, Dolby Atmos support, and a volume key to seamlessly switch between Bluetooth headphones and earbuds, Nearby Sharing, and App Broadcasting to share your phone’s screen with nearby ChromeOS devices. There are other features of Android 13 also related to security which will also be introduced. Finally, the company also announced Private Safe 2.0 – it secures data, documents, and media files in a virtual vault where they can’t be. Accessed by other applications.

If you are wondering when OxygenOS 13 will arrive on your device, it will depend on some factors. The OnePlus 10 Pro will be the first device to get it, with the company only announcing that it’s coming “soon”. Next, the OnePlus 10T is said to be coming “later this year”. Finally, the following devices will receive OxygenOS 13:
