EA is reportedly laying off up to 100 employees after FIFA split

Reportedly, Electronic Arts has laid off up to 100 employees after the decision to part ways with FIFA’s license. For years, EA had the right to create games based on the FIFA license. This helped give EA a sports empire with Madden, FIFA, PGA, UFC, and, at one point, even the NBA and college baseball.
