Billy Porter and Luke Evans as husbands in ‘Our Son’

Luke Evans and Billy Porter will portray the couples in “Our Son,” a feature film about couples going through a divorce and wrangling over custody of their 8-year-old son.

Bill Oliver directs the film from a script he co-wrote with Peter Nikowitz. Additional cast members have not been announced, including the actor who will play their child. “Our son” is looking for a distributor.

Fernando Loreiro and Guilherme Coelho produce through their company, Tigresa, along with producer Eric Binns.

Porter, who won an Emmy for “Pose,” recently appeared alongside Camila Cabello in director Kay Cannon’s remake of “Cinderella.” On television, he has worked on “The Twilight Zone” for CBS All Access, “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” and narrated “Equal” on HBO Max. Porter is set to make his high school adult film debut “Anything Is Possible” by Alvaro Garcia Lecona. And he’s already arranged for his next directing party, directing Gabrielle Union’s offbeat teen comedy To Be Real, I’ll Get Another Production.

Evans, known for playing the monster in the live-action Disney movie “Beauty and the Beast,” has appeared in the film series “Wonder Women,” “Clash of the Titans,” “The Hobbit,” and “The Fast and the Furious.” This year, he’ll star in Apple’s thriller-drama series “Echo 3,” as well as director Robert Zemeckis’ live-action novel “Pinocchio” for Disney+. On the small screen, Evans’ latest credits include “Nine Perfect Strangers” for Hulu and “The Alienist” for TNT.

Oliver and Nikowitz are represented by ICM and Grandview. Porter is represented by CAA, Industry Entertainment, and Slate PR. Evans is represented by the CAA, United Agents, and Anonymous Content.
