Disney+ cast the Marvel series “Ironheart” as Manny Montana, diverse Confirmed with sources.
Montana joins previously announced cast members Dominic Thorne, Anthony Ramos, and Lyric Ross. As previously reported, the show follows Marvel’s character Riri Williams (Thorne), the genius inventor and creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. Details about the character that Montana will play are preserved.
Marvel Studios representatives declined to comment.
diverse Exclusively reported, Chinaka Hodge will serve as lead writer for “Ironheart” in April 2021. The show was originally announced as part of the December 2020 Disney Investor Day presentation.
Williams was first introduced in Marvel Comics in 2016, written by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato. In the comics, she is a 15-year-old student at MIT who reverse engineered Iron Man’s armor in order to make her own. In the end, he noticed Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, and encouraged her to pursue a life of superheroes.
