‘Fallout’ Amazon Show Adds Three To Cast, Including Kyle MacLachlan

The Amazon TV series “Fallout” has added Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Aaron Moten to the cast as a series regular, diverse I learned exclusively.

The trio joined previously announced cast members Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins in the serial version of the popular video game franchise. As with previous submission announcements, exact details of who will be running the new additions are preserved.

Like the video games it’s based on, “Fallout” is set in a world where the future Americans envisioned in the late 1940s explodes with a nuclear war in the year 2077.

MacLachlan is a creative actor of the big and small screen, best known for his work with David Lynch on projects such as “Twin Peaks” (both original and a Showtime revival), “Dune” and “Blue Velvet”. On television, he is also known for playing the mayor of Portland in the comedy series “Portlandia” and most recently appeared in Peacock’s limited series “Joe vs. Carole”. It is represented by UTA, Entertainment 360, and attorney Alan Wertheimer.

Mendes Jones completed his training at Identity School of Acting in 2021. He will next appear in the Netflix movie Havoc alongside Tom Hardy, Forest Whitaker and Timothy Olyphant. They will also have a recurring role in season two of “The Wheel of Time,” also on Amazon. They are represented by IAG.

Moten recently appeared in “Father Stu” opposite Mark Wahlberg and will later appear in the Apple movie “Emancipation” starring Will Smith. His previous credits include shows such as “Disjointed”, “Next”, “The Night Of” and “Mozart in the Jungle”. It was commissioned by Gersh.

Production on “Fallout” is scheduled to begin later this year. Geneve Robertson-Durrett and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers and co-producers on the show. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy executive produce via Kilter Films under the Amazon package deal, with Nolan also set to direct the first episode of the series. Athena Wickham of Kilter Films is also executive producing alongside Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. Amazon Studios and Kilter Films produce in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
