This time, a developer has ported the classic 3D Pinball game for Windows into a model that works on any Android device.
Pinball holds a very special place in the hearts of seasoned Windows users. It was originally included with Microsoft Plus! A Windows 95 add-on, later included in every major release of Windows until Windows XP. The Microsoft variant, also known as “3D Pinball for Windows – Space Cadet” was ported from a Pinball video game called “Full Tilt! Pinball,” published by Maxis. Although Microsoft has no plan to return this gem, the mod community I managed to reverse engineer the game code into a form that humans can read for a while. After extracting the original game assets and pairing them with the decompiled code, a skilled developer can port the game to any platform. This is exactly what Federico Matteoni did for the Android version.
