‘That’ 90s Show: Ashton Kutcher on making a comeback with this ’70s cast

With more than 15 years since the end of ‘That ’70s Show, it’s understandable that I may have had the pleasure to see series star Ashton Kutcher return for the upcoming Netflix show, That ’90s Show.

“It was really nostalgic to be back on set,” Kutcher said. miscellaneous Carson Burton at the “Vengeance” premiere on the red carpet at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Monday night. “They’re all the same people who did ‘That ’70s Show, so it was really weird.”

Kutcher went on to explain that he and his wife, his actress Mila Kunis on That ’70s Show, felt that returning to the property was the right thing to do — other than being a blast, of course.

“Mila and I have been thinking about that,” Kutcher said. “We thought, ‘Listen, we’re just in the position we’re in because of this show, so let’s go back and do that. We just came back and enjoyed a week. It was so random and fun.”

Kutcher also gave some encouraging words about the new ’90s series: “It’s really funny. The new cast is exceptional.”

“That ’90s Show” is set to follow Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon) daughter Leah Foreman (Callie Haverda) as they visit her grandparents in the summer. Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp return from the original cast to play Red and Kitty again. The series, set in 1995, will follow a new generation of Point Place kids, and includes newcomers Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi and Sam Morelos.

Kutcher will reprise his character of Michael Kelso in a guest role in the new series. Fellow original cast members, including Grace, Prepon, Kunis, and Wilmer Valderrama, are also ready to join in on guest appearances.

On the near horizon, Kutcher plays a supporting role in “Vengeance,” the debut of “The Office” director BJ Novak, who wrote and stars in the film. “Vengeance” follows a podcaster, played by Novak, as he travels from New York to Texas to investigate the death of a woman he had an affair with. Kutcher plays Quentin Sellers in the film, a Texas music producer.

“Vengeance” is set to hit theaters Friday, while “That ’90s Show” release date hasn’t been officially announced.
