Shudder has signed a deal with The Boulet Brothers to expand the Dragula franchise with a new season, a new spin-off and an additional special set to debut on Shudder over the next twelve months. The agreement comes on the heels of Season 4 of “The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula,” which became one of the most-watched Shudder series of 2021. Shudder is AMC’s streaming service of horror, thriller, and supernatural stories.
The first project under the deal is a full-season spin-off based on the reality competition series “The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula”. She has already finished filming and will be making her debut this fall. In “Dragula,” contestants compete in a range of challenges including everything from fashion-making to crafting special-effects makeup to live performance.
“Through Dragula and the resurrection ‘The Boulet Brothers,’ the Boulet Brothers have proven to be uniquely talented producers and storytellers, creating innovative and comprehensive programming that breaks genres and attracts a large number of loyal followers,” said Craig Engler, Shudder’s Managing Director. To work with them on their upcoming new competition series, and more to come in 2023.
