Alienware announces new gaming monitors with a refresh rate of up to 360Hz

Dell’s Alienware brand has announced a pair of new gaming monitors, the Alienware 25 and Alienware 27. Of the two, the Alienware 27 is aimed more toward high-end gaming, while the Alienware 25 is more mainstream with a focus on electronic competition. Sports Games. Neither of these hardware is quite as advanced, though, as is the 480Hz display that Alienware uses on some laptops now.

In addition to the sharp Quad HD resolution, the Alienware 27 comes with a refresh rate of 240Hz by default, although it can be overclocked to 280Hz. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync, in addition to officially supporting VESA Adaptive Sync. It is a Nano IPS panel with 1ms response time and it also comes with 95% DCI-P3 coverage, making it suitable for content creation as well as gaming. There’s even a Creator Mode in the monitor’s OSD, which you can enable for better color accuracy and uniformity for content creation. Moreover, the monitor supports DisplayHDR 600 as well.

Aside from the panel itself, the display comes with Alienware’s Legend 2.0 design language, which features 360-degree ventilation, improved cable management, and RGB lighting. The stand supports tilt, swivel, height and pivot adjustments as well.

As for the Alienware 25, it’s more of a mid-range display, with Full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 360Hz. It comes with AMD FreeSync Premium support and VESA Adaptive Sync certification, plus it has a low response time of 0.5ms, so it’s perfect for fast-paced competitive titles. The screen also covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut.

Design-wise, the Alienware 25 features a different hex mount that takes up less desk space, and while it lacks RGB lighting, it still has a similar design language to the Alienware 27. It also supports tilt, height, swivel, and pivot. Modification, so you don’t miss out on those. There is also a retractable headphone stand, which the Alienware 27 also has.

Of the two monitors, the Alienware 25 will launch first in the US, with a release date set for September 7 for $449.99 (or CAD $569.99 in Canada). Alienware 27 is scheduled to launch on October 6 for $649.99 (CAD $829.99).
