Twilight: New Moon director refused Taylor Swift Cameo’s request

Taylor Swift’s acting career is about to get a big boost with David O.’s ‘Amsterdam’. Russell, who stars the multiple Grammy Award winner in a major supporting role as a grieving woman. The drama, which is led by Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington, is set to be Swift’s most famous film to date. However, it turns out that she could have had “The Twilight Saga” on her resume had her agent’s wishes not been rejected by “New Moon” director Chris Weitz.

“Taylor Swift was a tough Twi-hard guy, and Taylor Swift and I had the same agent at the time, and he said, ‘Taylor would like to be in this movie — not because of you, but she’s kind of Twi-hard,'” Weitz recently revealed. According to Weitz, Swift’s agent said that Swift wanted any kind of role in “New Moon,” even just “someone at the cafeteria or dinner or whatever. She just wants to be in that movie.”

Weitz refused the agent’s request, believing that Swift was a star too old to appear on “New Moon”. If Swift appears on screen, she will immediately distract her from the other actors and the story.
