Maggie’s Hulu Canceled After One Season (Exclusive)

“Maggie” was canceled after its first season on Hulu, diverse I learned exclusively.

The single-camera comedy was ordered at ABC in May 2021, although parent company Disney moved it to broadcast on Hulu in January 2022 before it premiered on July 6, when it debuted to mixed reviews.

The series was based on the 2019 short film of the same name written by Tim Curcio. Rebecca Rittenhouse starred in the title role, a woman who navigates the dating world as a psychic. Maggie’s gift allows her to see the future of her friends, parents, clients and random people on the street. But when she begins to see glimpses of her destiny after meeting an unexpected stranger, her romantic life suddenly becomes more complicated as she tries to let herself fall in love while thinking that she knows how it will end.

The regular series also featured David Del Rio as Ben, Nicole Sakura as Louise, Leonardo Nam as Dave, Angelique Cabral as Amy, Ray Ford as Angel, Chloe Bridges as Jesse, Keri Kinney as Maria and Chris Elliott as Jack, while Adam was among the frequent stars. Corso, Trent Garrett, Andy Favreau, Martin Moll, Brent Bailey, Ryan Caltagirone, and Jake Lockett.

“Maggie” is written by Justin Adler, creator of “Life in Pieces” and writer and producer Maggie Mull. 20th television served as a studio. Adler produced and executive mole along with Evan Hayes, Jeff Morton and Natalia Anderson.
