‘Santa Claus’ teaser: Tim Allen is back on Disney + Show

Disney+ has revealed a teaser for the original “Santa Claus” series, in which Tim Allen once again donned the classic Santa suit for the fourth installment of the “Santa Claus” franchise. The new teaser was shown for the first time during D23.

In the limited series, Scott Calvin (Allen) is ready to step down from his Santa duties and provide a new life for his family south of the North Pole. With his 65th birthday on the horizon, Scott – whose Santa Claus magic is beginning to fade – searches for a replacement for Santa Claus fit enough to run the workshop and take care of the elves. After announcing his plans to retire in jest, Santa interviewed NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning for the position.

Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell will reprise the roles of Scott Calvin / Santa Claus and Carol Calvin / Mrs. Claus, respectively. David Krumholtz is also set to return as Bernard the Elf, head of Santa’s workshop elf.

Allen first starred in “The Santa Clause” in 1994, which was followed by two sequels: “The Santa Clause 2” of 2002 and “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause of 2006”.

Besides Allen, Mitchell and Krumholtz, the cast of “Santa Claus” includes Elizabeth Allen Dick, Devin Bright, Austin Kane, Matilda Lawler, Teegan Johnson, Nico Bustos, Laura San Giacomo, Rupali Reed and Cal Penn. Jack Burdett, who created the comedy series “Last Man Standing” led by Allen, serves as producer and executive producer on the original Disney series. Allen CEO produces alongside Kevin Hench, Richard Baker, and Rick Messina. Disney Branded Television series is produced by 20th Television.

The Santa Clauses movie, with two episodes, will premiere on Disney Plus on November 16. Watch the teaser below.
