During the invite-only virtual event, Amazon today launched a variety of products. An interesting device that is making its debut is the Halo Rise sleep tracker and alarm clock. Amazon was able to build a product that runs in the background to track and analyze sleep-related metrics. The interesting part is that it works without having to rely on any wearable devices.
The height of the aura rose
Halo Rise senses your movements and breathing while you sleep. It can also detect if another person or pet is sleeping next to you. Once you wake up, you receive a detailed summary of the relevant data you have collected. This includes REM numbers, room temperature, humidity, and more. Speaking of getting up, this device also doubles as a bedside lamp. It simulates a sunrise with subtle light tones, and you can tweak it for other purposes as well, like reading. This is not to mention wake you up based on the stage of your sleep cycle. Melissa Cha, Vice President of Amazon for Smart Home and Health, says:

Halo Rise is designed to work intelligently in the background and gives you a whole new and easy way to manage your sleep and harmonize sleep and life.
As you would expect, Halo Rise fully supports Alexa, but there is a catch. You will need a compatible Echo device to place orders. The lamp then shares the relevant data with your Echo – who then announces it to you. You can also embed this sleep tracker in your Alexa Routines and set songs of your choice as wake-up tones.
Amazon’s Halo Rise will ship to customers in the US later this year. It costs $139.99 and includes six months of the company’s Halo membership. This premium add-on allows interested users to access more offerings, such as the catalog of sleep resources.
