spoilers below for the walking Dead Episode 1117, “Lockdown,” Beware You Have Watched It Yet!
We are now in the final stage of the walking DeadThe main series has begun releasing the last eight episodes that will eventually move into a variety of limited series (for now). The Fall premiere took care of some late-night venues in the theater, Follow up on past storylines It concludes in a way that brings a group of characters together in the most difficult situations.
Of course, any hour of the walking Dead will evokes a bunch of ideas; Some are good, some are bad, and many are random. Here are some of the people that slipped through my mind while I watched ‘Lockdown’.
Not sure how I feel about the flashback sequence
We know Andrew Lincoln and Danny Gurira get together for a Rick and Michon SpinoffWhich is great any way you look at it, and I’m not hesitant to take part in this show’s overt attempts to win the hearts of viewers. But knowing the new show makes it unlikely that either of them will appear in the final season of the walking Dead Fitting, which many fans hope for no matter what happens in the future. (At least in the post-credits scene, if nothing else.) But if there aren’t any major updates for Rick or Michonne in the next eight episodes, seeing everyone in that inaugural flashback episode in hindsight feels like a jab. Cheap rather than optimistic predictions. I don’t expect the governor to come back.
Looks like Daryl can survive anything
You might learn a bit about a running topic, but knowing Daryl’s show is on the way Somewhat distracts from any suspense This is meant to be configured for the character. But that’s not at the heart of this particular thinking, which is entirely centered around another Daryl T-boning car driving at fairly high speeds, to the point where we’d likely think Commonwealth soldiers were mortally wounded, yet Norman gets Reedus out of his car as If only he would get up from a comfortable bed and stare at the morning sun. I’m not sure I was confused the walking DeadThe hero’s reasoning as I was through Daryl’s gelatinous atom of forehead blood was his only share of a wreck that would reorganize most people’s skeletons. Unfortunately, it was Norman Reedus Scared of a concussion While filming the ending, while I’m assuming Daryl will be in the double digits at this point.
Mercer and Negan need more scenes together
I 100% hope we see more Jeffrey Dean Morgan sharing scenes with Michael James Shaw, regardless of the specific dynamic between Negan and Mercer at any given moment. All we got in this episode were two scary guys sitting at an empty table in a room with unfinished walls, and that’s all we needed.
Carol’s pie-making skills don’t clash with her cookie-making skills
Come on, Carol! How are you going to stand up and let the blueberry pancakes burn? Also, I love my burnt raspberry pie for whatever reason, so even throwing it away seemed like a crime.
These steroids get my vote for the least potent villain ever
the walking DeadCharacters’ characters have created an astonishing array of baffling schemes in eleven seasons (and two spin-offs), but none has been one magical move like Jerry’s successfully fend off the two men who track children by having five people holding banners standing. There so stalkers instantly grow in anger and frustration, but without taking two steps left or right to walk around human obstacles. I mean, slow applause for Jerry & Co.
Carol’s reaction to Negan saying it’s priceless
Carol expected a threat when she opened the door to see Negan, and there might always be something inside of her that expects him to go dark again. But it’s possible that part of her shrunk a bit during reconnection after he raised Annie holding his baby. Melissa McBride could have given any of a thousand reactions that might have felt perfect, but I was totally impressed with that reaction anyway, given its simplicity. After a second of letting it sink in, she offered what could be read as a look “if the world needed anything, it wasn’t your offspring,” and only said:
After that, she nodded slightly, then walked away, leaving behind reactions that were not even the least awkward. Although I’ve now thought about this a bit more, I can’t tell if Carol should have been put off a bit by Negan’s confession, probably because she was hoping there was something more between them. It certainly can be read that way if one wants to, and there are more than enough fans who will enjoy this pairing, but I’m not sure if I want to come up with this reading.
Sebastian definitely deserves to be treated like crap
Even if some of the bad things happening to him (and his mom) aren’t necessarily his fault, there is no world that Sebastian Milton doesn’t deserve all the bad shit that has happened to him and will happen to him. Obviously no offense to Teo Rapp-Olsson, but the guy is able to pull off facial expressions that magnetically draw punches.
Mercer doesn’t know how to let things go
I feel like the walking Dead Put all of its subtext directly into the text as it concerns Mercer, who is faced with a choice between following the rules he used to be guided by, and a new system that could promise a brighter future. I think the show was trying to tell us something by having a Commonwealth official hold on to a fellow soldier until the man was literally torn in half by the infantry, which should have put him and the others at greater risk, given the growing crowd of infantry. So let’s agree that no one should rely on Mercer for split decisions in upcoming episodes.
I love the top shots that make pedestrians look like ants
This is really tapping into the lizard’s part of the brain, not too deep to say the least. It’s great to see large groups of people navigate in a similar way to ants and other interstitial-minded insects, not just in a way that “people are like ants from airplanes.”
I’d be great if Hornsby dies soon
Despite the occasional finding out which somewhat made it clear which characters will come out of this season alive and won’t, it was still fun to watch the big underground showdown gather in the final minutes. By all means, I’d be perfectly happy for Daryl to put an end to the Lance Hornsby murder. This show needs fewer characters who just spin and randomly kill other survivors, at least those who haven’t been shown to be assassins than the bots themselves. Which is why it’s a good idea to get Hornsby out.
