The ratings of “Monarch” and “The Cleaning Lady” double after one week

Fox dramas “Monarch” and “The Cleaning Lady” saw a twofold increase in total viewership after one week of viewing on multiple platforms, diverse I learned exclusively.

“Monarch” premiered on September 11, a week before it was shown on September 19-25, which Nielsen considers the start of the 2022-2023 television season. So, the country music drama was in the second episode of its premiere week. According to Live + Same Day data, Episode brought in 1.7 million viewers in total, but that number increased to 3.7 million after seven days of viewing on digital platforms. So far, Fox says, “Monarch” has reached 18.7 million viewers across platforms in the United States and Canada.

“The Cleaning Lady,” which debuted in 2021, returned for its second season on September 19. Its initial viewership hit 2.4 million viewers, but one week of multi-platform viewing gave the episode a major bump. According to Live+7 data, a total of 4.8 million viewers have been tuned in since then.

Additionally, “9-1-1” returned for its sixth season on September 19, when it was watched by 4.8 million people. In terms of entertainment programming, which doesn’t take into account sports or the news, Fox says the first episode of Season 6 is now the most-watched and broadcasted TV channel since the season 5 finale, “9-1-1,” which aired in May. Live+7 data indicates 7.5 million viewers for the episode, and according to exclusive broadcast data provided by Fox, 2.1 million viewers watched via Hulu and Fox Now within a 6-day window.

“The Simpsons,” a consistent product in Fox’s rating, was the #1 entertainment program among major adults ages 18-49 after the week of its premiere, and maintained that status after a week of delayed viewing. 2022 marks the fourth year in a row that the network has had the highest-rated entertainment program during its premiere week — although in the past three years, “The Masked Singer” has brought that title. Fox was also the only network to have a program of every genre ranked in the top 15 rated premieres of the week – “The Simpsons” in comedy, “9-1-1” in drama and “The Masked Singer” in mode not written.
