Fox renews “Krapopolis” for a second season ahead of the series’ premiere

Fox renewed the animated comedy “Krapopolis” for a second season ahead of the series’ premiere.

The series, which descends from Dan Harmon, was picked up at Fox in February 2021. It is scheduled to premiere on broadcasters in 2023, but its official release date has not been set yet.

According to the official official line, “Krapopolis” takes place in mythical ancient Greece and tells the story of a dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and monsters who try with their own hands to run the world’s first cities – without trying to kill each other, that is. ”

The show’s voice cast includes stars such as Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ewad, Matt Perry, Pam Murphy, and Duncan Trussell.

“As you can imagine, anything Dan Harmon does is disrespectful and full of his signature and bold characters; these early episodes of ‘Krapopolis’ far exceed even our highest expectations,” said Michael Thorne, president of Fox Entertainment. “As we continue to develop the Fox Animation brand, we are thrilled to watch Dan and his team work their magic on ‘Krapopolis.’ But it’s exciting to be so confident in this particular project to be able to reward it with an early renewal.”

Harmon created “Krapopolis” and executive produced the series under a direct animation deal with Fox. The show is produced by Fox Animation Studio, Bento Box Entertainment. It marks the first wholly owned Fox animated series. Fox’s newly formed Content Sales unit, Fox Entertainment Global, will offer comedy to international software buyers in MIPCOM Cannes.
