A woman has 23 contact lenses removed from her eye

In her article, Dr. Katerina Corteva explained that a patient in her mid-70s, who wore contact lenses, came into her office one day complaining that her eye was in pain – as if something was stuck in it.

She initially did a routine eye exam for the patient but found nothing. Then Dr. Kurteeva decided to examine the woman’s eyelids under the woman’s eyelids, as foreign bodies can sometimes get stuck there.
