Prom night ‘Dancing with the Stars’ 2 perfect score

This week proved to be the toughest yet for the “Dancing with the Stars” partners, who had to learn multiple routines. Although there was no exclusion during Monday night, Tuesday night tested the remaining pairs with their second dance of the week followed by a marathon run.

Although Wayne Brady received one at 10 Monday night, it wasn’t until Tuesday that he brought the judges–even Lynne Goodman–to their feet after a samba with partner Whitney Carson. The duo earned a perfect score of 40. Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy also impressed the judges with their tango and scored 40.

Entering the Dance Marathon, their two-night total of 77 tied for first place with Charlie D’Amelio and Mark Ballas, who scored 38 on Tuesday after 39 on Monday night. However, the marathon changed the game, as the judges eliminated one pair at a time, as they all danced at the same time. The first duo to be eliminated gets 1 point, the second gets 2 points and so on.

Jesse James Decker and Alan Bursten, who were close to the bottom of the leaderboard, won the marathon and were crowned prom queen and king, earning an additional 11 points.

With bonus points in mind, D’Amilio and Ballas took the lead, while Vinny Guadagnino and Coco Iwasaki fell to the bottom. After adding fans’ votes, the two at the bottom were Josef Baena, Daniela Karagash, Heidi de Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev.

Carrie Ann Inaba notes that it wasn’t one of the best couples nights out. Although Inaba saves Baena, Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli and Goodman choose to save D’Amelio.

“Dancing With the Stars” airs every Monday on Disney+.
