Better

The BenQ gaming monitor is amazing for more than just gaming. While it has the gaming features you’d expect, such as a 144Hz refresh rate and FreeSync, it also boasts stunning, crisp 4K color accuracy. For $206 on Black Friday, it’s The Best screen to grab.

Finding the perfect monitor has been a personal quest for me over the past several years, and I haven’t tried anything to quite scratch that itch. After trying many different options and back again over the years, I was about to give up until I got the BenQ EX3210U. Not only does it hit all the gaming features I was looking for, but it does so without any compromises on quality. It’s seriously my favorite monitor I’ve ever used.

With all the great deals on computers, laptops, and monitors for Black Friday still in full swing, this is It is what catches my attention the most. Normally, this monitor costs $1,100, which makes it really hard to justify unless you’re a picky eater like me. However, for Black Friday, the price of the EX3210U dropped by $206. That brings it down to $894, which is still pretty pricey, but an amazing bargain for what you get.

Why the BenQ EX3210U is great

Well, what I was trying to find and failing over and over again was a gaming monitor that also had some designer-level specs. It’s very hard to do without spending over $1,500-$2,000, which I wasn’t great with. However, all along, I’ve been keeping an eye on BenQ’s lineup because I know they have a history of making great, color-accurate screens.

When the EX3210U launched, it ticked most of my boxes. It comes in a nice 32-inch size with a 4K resolution, which is the perfect size-to-resolution ratio in my opinion. On top of that, it has a fast 144Hz refresh rate with support for adaptive sync, which means you get a responsive screen that cuts through any screen tearing.

The screen also supports HDR for any games or content it uses. But BenQ also has a way to mimic HDR for regular content, too. Not all of these modes were ideal for me, but they certainly bring the crispness and contrast of standard dynamic range games to life (I really love turning on the “fake” RPG HDR mode in World of Warcraft).

There are plenty of extra USB ports on the back, the monitor has great cable management, and the design is cool with a white exterior. Another ace BenQ has is the speaker setup with this monitor. You basically have a built-in soundbar with a subwoofer around the back, and I’d say the sound quality is excellent compared to most speakers you’ll hear on monitors.

The only thing I would change or add is USB-C support. I used a USB-C webcam, and it would be nice to just be able to power it into this monitor’s built-in USB hub. Instead, I had to figure out a way to route the (rather short) cable to my computer because the EX3210U doesn’t have a built-in USB-C port.

In any case, the features you get and screen color accuracy are well under $1,000. For my money, this is everyone’s must-have watch deal for Black Friday.
