Stephen Graham and Harris Dickinson in Steve McQueen’s Blitz

Steve McQueen’s upcoming World War II film “Blitz” has added Stephen Graham (“The Irishman”) and Harris Dickinson (“Triangle of Sadness”), both pictured above, to the cast.

Erin Keleman (“Willow”), Kathy Burke (“Absolutely Fabulous”) and newcomer Elliot Heffernan (pictured below) are also set to appear in the Apple TV+ film, which is about to begin production in London.

Singer-songwriter Paul Weller will also make his feature film appearances on the project.

They will join the previously announced Saoirse Ronan in the film, which was written, directed and produced by McQueen (“12 Years a Slave”).

Heffernan will star in “Blitz,” the subject of which is still kept under wraps. The title refers to the German aerial bombing campaign against Britain in the early 1940s, during World War II, which saw significant damage to London. In response, the government took measures including lockdowns, power cuts, and children being evacuated to the countryside.

McQueen’s Lammas Park Productions is producing the film alongside Tim Bevan of Working Type Films, Eric Fellner and Arnon Milchan of New Regency, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer. Anita Overland and Adam Sumner are also producing.

“Blitz” came from McQueen’s first-look deal with New Regency, with whom he also starred in the films “12 Years a Slave” and “Widows.”

Graham is represented by Independent Talent Group, Link Entertainment, and Public Eye Communications. Dickinson is represented by Gersh, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Bretchen, Feldman Bremer. Keleman has been represented by CAA, Curtis Brown, and Lucy Popkin. Burke was portrayed by Paul Hunt in The Hunted. Heffernan is represented by the Sylvia Young Agency.
