Laura, originally from Australia, studied at Hillsong together with Carl. They dated for two years until Laura decided to give up her life in Australia for her boyfriend at the time. Then, in 2003, the couple got married, and Laura moved to the United States for the duration of their marriage, and they welcomed three children – Ava, Charlie, and Roman.
