The 2022 Preakness Stakes was won by early voting in a fantastic race that didn’t include Rich Strike. But what are the betting payouts on Trifecta and more?
A little bit of shine was taken out of the 2022 Preakness Stakes as Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike and his coaches opted not to run in the second race of the Triple Crown. Although this may be the case, we are still treated to an exciting ride at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.
The favorite, Epicenter, has been in the back of the pack for some time but has shipped late. However, early voting was also the best of the bunch. And when they went down the stretch, it looked as if Epicenter might come along and take the win. A late early vote move inside to essentially prevent his opponent from crushing it, though, giving the horse the victory.
As is often the case with horse racing, many people are really looking for betting winnings. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with the possibilities for every NBC broadcast.
Preakness Exact Payout
For the exact 5-8 that were paid out at Pimlico on Saturday night, a $2 bet would have paid out $25.80, so a nice small profit brings you closer to the 1/1 odds of the winner.
Preakness trifecta payout
For Trifecta’s highest-paid 5-8-2 Preakness Stakes, that would have paid out $66.50 on a $1 bet for the winning ticket, early voting, Epicenter and Creative Minister as the race’s Win-Place-Show.
Preakness superfecta . Payout
Finally, we always have great payments. For a 5-8-2-4 superfecta, a $1 bet would have paid a good $162.90 for the day. It’s not exactly the astronomical numbers we’ve seen from the Kentucky Derby, but it’s still generally pretty good if you check any of those bets.
