National team star Juan Soto left behind the Home Run Derby trophy and series at Dodgers Stadium, leading some to speculate about a deal with Los Angeles.
Juan Soto is the hottest name in the trading bloc as the MLB trade deadline approaches and the Dodgers could be one of the teams able to go out and get it.
Was it just a coincidence that he left his trophy at Derby Home Run and a string at Dodgers Stadium after his All-Star win over the weekend?
Fans do not believe.
Juan Soto left collectibles behind at Dodgers Stadium
While reporters such as Fabian Ardea of ββThe Athletic tweeted that Soto left his Home Run Derby spoils in the visitors’ locker room in Los Angeles, fans responded with the idea that he was keeping them in his home stadium.

It’s a fun idea, but in fact, Soto left them behind because he knew he was going straight back to Los Angeles for the Nationals series with the Dodgers starting Monday. He will take them home later this week as Washington concludes their road trip after the ASG.
Soto heard chants of “Future Dodger” from the crowd at Dodgers Stadium over the weekend. He’s sure to hear more during the three games he’s playing against the boys in the blue this week.
The Citizens traded two more stars with the Dodgers recently. They shipped Max Scherzer and Trea Turner to the West last year. It’s no surprise to imagine a world where Soto meets Turner in the blue.
The Dodgers aren’t the only ones vying for Soto’s services. Los Angeles will face major challenges in pursuit of Soto from the Yankees, Cardinals, Padres, Astros and others.
