Bay City, Texas (KTRK) – The Coast Guard helped two boaters on a disabled sailboat adrift off Matagorda Beach, early Tuesday. According to the Houston-Galveston Watchstanders, they received a notification at 1:45 a.m. from Galveston Sea Tow personnel that they were on their way to a malfunctioning 37-foot schooner pulling anchor off Matagorda Bank with two people on board. Empire, Louisiana (KTRK) – New Orleans Coast Guard monitors rescued three people from shark-infested waters, 25 miles off the coast of Empire, Louisiana, after receiving a report of boat delays Sunday. A family member submitted the report after the boats did not return from a Saturday evening fishing trip. Houston, Texas — The Coast Guard and the Texas General Office (GLO) are responding to a pollution incident in Tubbs Bay near Baytown. The Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston received a report at 10:30 a.m. Monday about an oil leak from the flowline in Tubbs Bay.
