Ilia Topuria sends a message, literally and figuratively, to Paddy Pimblett as Jay Herbert returns at UFC London
Ilia Topuria proved to be the downright dangerous guy, waging a war with Jai Herbert at UFC London that saw his performance go from anxious to explosive.
Topuria looked like he was ready to eat L after he fell early in the first round with a header from Herbert. Topuria looked outside but somehow managed to stay in the fight and record Herbert’s removals.
In the second round, Topuria and Herbert exchanged grenades before Topuria landed with his right hand, clean on the button that dropped Herbert Bard for a big win.
Topuria then used the time after his victory to send a message to Paddy Pimblett. Topuria attacked Pemblet earlier this week at the Fighters Hotel due to comments Pemblet made earlier.
“Buddy Pemblete, win or lose, I want to fight you next and kick you ** like you did last time. I want that blonde bitch,” Topuria said in his post-fight remarks.

This win keeps Topuria undefeated 12-0, with a 4-0 UFC record. After winning a decision win in his UFC debut over Youssef Zalal, Topuria now has direct knockouts from Damon Jackson, Ryan Hall and Herbert.
Pemblet will compete later today at UFC London against Rodrigo Vargas. It is Pimblett’s second UFC match after defeating Luigi Vendramini in his September UFC debut.
