The Kansas City Chiefs traded top wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for a group of five draft picks. So what does a depth chart look like without a hill?
The receiving corps in Kansas City would look a lot different in 2022 without Hill up front. The dynamic 28-year-old receiver was Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target for a reason, as he was on his way to being his first Hall of Famer pollster and no doubt a member of the Chiefs’ Ring of Honor.
Instead, a broken contract pushed his way out completely from Kansas City. Hill traded five draft picks, and received a shiny new contract in Miami as well. Kansas City was willing to push Hill, but once Davante Adams reset the market for wide, Brett Fitch wasn’t willing to go that far.
Such an obvious predicament had only one solution.
Kansas City Chiefs Depth Chart: Wide Receiver
KC is looking to Marquez Valdes-Scantling as a potential replacement for the deep threat to Hill, so it could be added to the depth chart soon.
For now, although Top 3 wide receivers On the Heads Depth chart are Josh Gordon, Mikol Hardman, and JoJo Smith-Schuster.
Most people forget that the leader added Gordon last season. If he remains active this season, he could be a solid addition to the Kansas City reception team as they hope to replace Hill on the committee.
The Chiefs would almost certainly forge a wide receiver, perhaps with one of the picks they received at the Hill trade. They will also remain active in the free agent market.
