Fans attending the New York Rangers-Pittsburgh Penguins game at Madison Square Garden erupted when they watched Saint Peter advance to the Elite Eight.
Cinderella’s race for the peacock of St. Peter is not over yet. On Friday night, St. Peter defeated No. 3 boilermaker Bordeaux 67-64 to advance to the Elite Eight, becoming the first 15 seed to do so. The New York Rangers hosted the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, and late in the third period the crowd erupted in cheers upon seeing the final score of St Peter Bordeaux on the Jumbotron.

This is the same crowd that watched Rangers score three goals in the first five minutes of the match. They had all kinds of energy when they saw that the Peacocks would now fight for a chance to secure a place in the Final Four on Sunday, March 27.
The Peacocks led young guard Daryl Banks third, who lost 14 points while firing 6-for-14 from the field. Banks helped St. Peter tie Bordeaux at 57 points each and lead 59-57 in consecutive jumping shots.
As for the hockey match that was held at the MSG Arena, the Rangers beat the Penguins 5-1 behind two goals from Chris Kreider and 20 saves from goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin.
