Galen Ramsey praises Trayvon Diggs despite being persuaded to insult him

Pivot podcastRamsay revealed that he actually has a lot of respect for Diggs, although he’s not a fan of him when anyone compares them.

As Ramsay points out, he and Diggs are very different athletes and approach the game in very different ways. And while the results look different, Ramsay seems to believe that both he and Diggs are effective and can achieve a lot when they’re on the field.

While he’s had the opportunity to pile on some of Diggs’ flaws in the way he approaches different scenarios, Ramsay was keen to point out Diggs’ strengths and the fact that he had 11 interceptions last season.

Los Angeles Rams: Galen Ramsey praises Trayvon Diggs while discussing difference in playing styles

“It’s a different approach to the way he plays,” Ramsey explained. “I agree, if you are a player who plays the stage a lot, as he does, you will have to pick a lot, which he does though. He does that, so it works for him. He is one of the best players at doing that.”

In all of this, Ramsey also made sure to highlight how Diggs takes greater risks and is able to get out of more interceptions than many other defenses across the league. Although that sometimes doesn’t work in his favour, Diggs is able to make that gamble pay off fairly frequently.

And he seems to have earned some respect from Ramsey in the process.
