Marcus Strowman, the new kicker for the Chicago Cubs, can’t wait to make his debut at Wrigley Stadium later this week.
The countdown is almost over for Marcus Strowman to light things up for Chicago Cubs fans. Despite not getting on the field with his new club yet (with the exception of spring training), Strowman has become a crowd favorite, winning countless supporters thanks to his personality.
Come Saturday, the stage will be set for Strowman to make his Wrigley Field debut. For a novice shooter, it’s something he’s been looking forward to for quite some time.
Marcus Strowman is ready to start the Cubs game on Saturday
Strowman was raised which is not at all surprising. From the moment Strowman signed for Chicago this season, he’s been spurring everyone who loves the Cubs to the arrival of the 2022 campaign.
After withdrawing from the 2020 season due to COVID concerns, Strowman made a comeback for the Mets last year and made 33 appearances. He finished with a disappointing 10-13 record, but scored 3.02 ERA.
He was getting a lot of interest in free agency, but eventually decided he wanted to continue his career with the Cubs. Strowman and Chicago agreed on a three-year deal that would pay residents $71 million. It was a big day for him and now people are ready to see him earn this contract.
Strowman will get his first chance to bring joy to the Chicago faithful this weekend against the Brewers. While there is a completely different feeling about Cubs entering the new campaign, that doesn’t mean this club won’t feature many stars. Strowman is one of them and expectations will be high for him from start to finish in 2022.
