The Philadelphia Eagles were reportedly able to make Galen Regor’s broadband receiver available for trade.
With the 2022 NFL Draft fast approaching, it could be Galen Rieger’s time with the Philadelphia Eagles I’m nearing the end.
According to Jeff Mosher from Inside the Birds, the former TCU wide receiver in the first round has a relatively strong commercial market. “Other teams will be interested in getting Rigor,” Mosher wrote. “Teams have already contacted to check recipient availability for the third year.”
In two seasons with the Eagles, Rigor has 64 catches for 695 yards and three touchdowns. While Howie Roseman remains the general manager who coined the number 21 overall, Nick Sirianni was not the head coach during the junior season. To make matters worse, the next selection made in the 2020 NFL Draft was LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson to the Minnesota Vikings.
Considering the issues at hand, it makes sense for the Eagles to deal with Rigor before June 1 ($3605,700) rather than release him ($7841,763). The eagles will save some money instead of cutting it. Of course, the repercussions of the cap will be less punitive if a decision is made on Rigor after June 1. Doing so will result in Philadelphia receiving the NFL 2023 draft compensation.
With a fifth-year option still on the table for a potential business partner, that’s why Reagor has value.

Simply put, the Eagles need to get exponentially better at the reception game if they are to secure themselves on the journey back to the NFL Playoffs. While The Birds drastically overhauled the feat to be ranked No. 7 last season, they could slip a few points in the rankings because they no longer have the surprise factor they once did when everyone was rebuilding the team.
Keep in mind that Philadelphia was the primary team interested in trading struggling Atlanta Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley this off season. Atlanta would have dealt with the former No. 1 player from Alabama to Philadelphia had the Hawks not discovered the impending gambling allegations that led to Ridley’s suspension throughout the 2022 NFL campaign.
Ultimately, the Eagles apparently forged some wide receivers. While DeVonta Smith appears to have been successful, Reagor did not and it appears that JJ Arçega-Whiteside was in massive bankruptcy. Since this is a deep-receiver draft, maybe Rosman can right a mistake from a few years back and get Jalen Hurts on the wide he needs to be successful in this league? Painful growth is critical.
All it takes is one team to have a huge interest in Rigor before the Eagles finally part.
